The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne has faculties in several cities and towns: Reims, Troyes, Charleville - Mézières, Chalons- en-Champagne and Chaumont.

It enjoys a very favourable location in the heart of Europe; only 45 minutes from Paris by TGV, it lies at the crossroads between Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The area is internationally renowned for its vineyards and champagne production.

In addition to the rolling landscapes of the Aube and the Haute-Marne, the immense Champagne region plains of the Marne, the Ardennes mountain range and the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims’ regional natural park, you can also explore the beautiful historical towns and art – there are many UNESCO World Heritage sites in the region.

The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (URCA) is a multidisciplinary university with over 29,000 students and 31 research units structured based around 4 major clusters with excellent scientific expertise:

  • an internationally-focused agricultural sciences, environment, biotechnology and bioeconomy multidisciplinary cluster (AEBB) which considers, in a region with a strong agricultural and wine industry-based economy, the agriculture of the future,
  • a Health cluster, championing scientific niches of excellence and rich and varied medical and paramedical training,
  • a Digital and engineering sciences cluster (SNI) focused on high-performance computing, industry 4.0, materials and technological change;
  • a Human and Social Sciences cluster (SHS) with in particular the flourishing new focus on performing arts consolidated by the creation of a Maison des sciences humaines.
