Since November 1, 2024, initial applications and renewal requests for residence permits labeled "(Passeport) Talent-Chercheur" and the Algerian residence certificate labeled "Scientifique-Chercheur" for scientists living in Marne (51) are now dealt by the Sous-Prefecture of Reims, located Place Royale in Reims.

Previously, these applications were processed by the Prefecture de la Marne in Châlons-en-Champagne.

From this date onwards, Algerian scientists are therefore invited to make an appointment with the Sous-Prefecture of Reims to submit their residence permit applications.

For scientists from other countries (excluding Algeria), applications will continue to be submitted via the ANEF platform. However, once issued, residence permits must be collected from the Sous-Prefecture of Reims.
