Abstract guidelines

The authors are requested to follow the abstract template that can be downloaded below.

It is important to fill the items on the first page of the abstract template, related to:

  • presentation type
  • themes
  • application for student prize
  • agreement of abstract publication

The abstract must be written on the second page of the abstract template according to the layout indications.

The authors have to choose their preferred presentation type: Oral or Poster. For the Poster option, the authors have also the opportunity to participate to the Flash presentation section. A flash presentation of the research work aims to capture the audience's attention in a lively 2-minute communication. It highlights the key elements of the poster.

At the review stage, the Scientific Committee may change the presentation type (oral or poster) submitted by the author to ensure the continuity of the conference program. The presenting author will be informed of any change to their presentation type at the acceptance notification stage.

The scientific topics of the ECSBM conference span over a wide number of biological/biomedical applications in relation with the use of spectroscopic techniques in their diversity such as optical modalities, mass, NMR…

Below is a non-exhaustive list:

  • Molecular structures (biopolymers, assemblies…): interaction and dynamics
  • Biomedical spectrometry and imaging
  • Pharmaceutical science and Cosmetics
  • Forensics
  • Global health: Food and Environment (microbiology, plant …)
  • New methodologies and advances (instrumentation, chemometrics…)

In order to apply for the prizes, please indicate that you wish to be considered for a prize when submitting the abstract for your presentation. Proof of student status (presentation of student ID) will be required.
