Abstract guidelines

The authors are requested to follow the abstract template that can be downloaded below.

It is important to fill the items on the first page of the abstract template, related to:

  • presentation type
  • themes
  • application for student prize
  • agreement of abstract publication

The abstract must be written on the second page of the abstract template according to the layout indications.

PRESENTATION TYPES

The authors have to choose their preferred presentation type: Oral or Poster. For the Poster option, the authors have also the opportunity to participate to the Flash presentation section. A flash presentation of the research work aims to capture the audience's attention in a lively 2-minute communication. It highlights the key elements of the poster.

At the review stage, the Scientific Committee may change the presentation type (oral or poster) submitted by the author to ensure the continuity of the conference program. The presenting author will be informed of any change to their presentation type at the acceptance notification stage.

SCIENTIFIC THEMES

The scientific topics of the ECSBM conference span over a wide number of biological/biomedical applications in relation with the use of spectroscopic techniques in their diversity such as optical modalities, mass, NMR…

Below is a non-exhaustive list:

  • Molecular structures (biopolymers, assemblies…): interaction and dynamics
  • Biomedical spectrometry and imaging
  • Pharmaceutical science and Cosmetics
  • Forensics
  • Global health: Food and Environment (microbiology, plant …)
  • New methodologies and advances (instrumentation, chemometrics…)

PHD STUDENT PRIZES

PhD students are invited to apply for presentation prizes. All types of presentations (Oral, Poster and Flash) will be considered. In order to apply for the prizes, please indicate that you wish to be considered for a prize when submitting the abstract for your presentation. Proof of student status (presentation of student ID) will be required.

Terms and conditions

Cancellation of the Conference: In the unlikely case of cancellation of the event, the organizers shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc.

The abstract submitted adheres to the abstract submission guidelines.

The presenting author submitting the abstract is the main contact whose responsibility is to communicate with other co-authors.

The presenting author must register to the conference. If they do not register and pay in full, the abstract will be removed from the program.

The text of the abstract, along with the names and affiliations, will be published in the abstract book and this will not raise any copyright issues. The list of participants with their contact details will be accessible to all participants and sponsors.

A submission as a particular presentation type or theme may be changed to a different type following review in order to be accepted and included in the program.

Presenters can be recorded for live streaming or photographed. A recording of the presentation and a copy of the slides may be published online if the presenting author agrees.

Participants are required to respect the rules in terms of safety and health constraints that will be in force within the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne at the time of the event.
