Conditions of application and cancellation

I want to register at the CIEF

To register at the CIEF you must :

- have the baccalaureate (or equivalent) and, for certain countries (like China), be in possession of a University entrance exam
- pay a €150 pre-registration deposit fee


The deposit of €150 is not refundable and cannot be carried over to another semester, even in the event of visa refusal. The balance of the training fees must be paid upon final registration on the first day of the semester.

Application materials and supporting documents to be provided:

  • photocopy of passport
  • photocopy of obtained diplomas (at least a highschool diploma or equivalent) with their translations certified by a sworn translator
  • handwritten letter of motivation in french (if it is possible) indicating in particular the University courses selection and choice =please also indicate if you are complete beginner
  • registration form·s to be completed


The registration file must be returned to CIEF before the registration deadline

I want to cancel my registration

In the event of a cancellation request, please send an e-mail to the CIEF secretariat with supporting documents. All requests will be examined before a refund is granted.

The request for reimbursement must then be made using a form which can be downloaded by clicking here.

The form is available under the heading "Request for reimbursement of tuition fees". It should be completed and submitted via the same link.

I want to make a claim

You have received a decision from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne concerning your enrolment, an application or your studies and you would like to know the reasons for refusing your application or you feel that you can contest this decision.

You have two months following notification of the decision to submit a request for an informal appeal. This should be sent to the President of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, using the following link: www.univ-reims.fr/recoursscolarite

This decision may also be appealed within the same timeframe before the Administrative Court of Châlons-en-Champagne via the Télérecours citoyens application: www.telerecours.fr or by post to the following address: 25 rue du lycée, 51036 Châlons-en Champagne Cedex.
