International researchers and doctoral students can access French territory under the same conditions as before the pandemic.
The presentation of a health pass can no longer be required, regardless of the country of origin; no justification for travel (the "compelling reason") can be required and travelers are no longer required to present an attestation of non-contamination and a commitment to undergo an antigenic test or a biological examination upon arrival on French territory
These conditions may change depending on the evolution of the pandemic. Consult the official website of the Ministry of the Interior
BE AWARE : Regardless of the lifting of sanitary restrictions, foreign travelers must still present a valid passport at the border, as well as the documents usually required, depending on their nationality.
Consult the FRANCE VISAS website or contact us to know the documents required for your stay.
LEAVING FRANCE
Health controls on leaving French territory have been lifted since August 1, 2022.
The French authorities no longer require any justification of the reason for a trip from France, nor any certificate of exit from the territory to travel to another country.
However, foreign countries may still have specific measures and formalities for access to their territory.
To find out about health regulations for entering another country, travelers are invited to consult the "CONSEILS AUX VOYAGEURS" section of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs website.
