Two actors from the University of Liege are involved in the IntiCosm project: (1) the Laboratory of Molecular Biophysics at Interfaces (LBMI), which is competent in characterizing the physico-chemical properties of biosourced surfactant molecules. Two complementary approaches (experimental and modeling) are used to study the interfacial and membrane interaction properties of biosourced surface-active molecules in order to understand the structure-function relationships of surfactants and their mechanism(s) of action in the fields of cosmetic, human health and agronomy. In the project, LBMI will characterize the physicochemical and interaction properties with biomimetic skin membranes of biosourced cargos with or without cosmetic agents in order to identify the most suitable structure to efficiently and safely deliver cosmetic agents at the level of the skin. (2) The department of "External Relations and Information on Studies" t and the "Vivasciences" unit from Gx-ABT which disseminate, publish and share a large number of popular science articles for the general public in various formats (print, web, social networks). Numerous scientific activities are offered to primary and secondary school pupils and teachers in order to introduce them to the world of research, the scientific professions and the university environment in Wallonia. These activities will be implemented as part of the project's communication module to raise awareness of green chemistry, natural cosmetics and inform about the Interreg program.
