Library access

The library offers tailored services
- Contact a dedicated librarian
- Proxy service: you can give proxy by contacting your library by e-mail from your URCA mailbox, giving the surname, first name and date of birth of the person you wish to give proxy to. The person to whom you have given power of attorney will be able to borrow in all URCA libraries on presentation of an identity document in his or her name.
- Read documents on remote magnifiers (Robert de Sorbon, Health and Moulin de la Housse libraries).
- On request to the university's disability program, the document digitization service can digitize books with optical character recognition. The library can also provide digital works from the Bibliothèque nationale de France's “Platon” platform.
- Borrow noise-canceling headphones, portable scanners and book-holders (availability varies from library to library).
- Use tables with adjustable height and writing surface (availability varies from library to library).
We also offer the following services
- Consult the library catalog
- Borrow documents (books, magazines, DVDs, etc.) and objects from all URCA libraries. Students can borrow as many documents as they wish for 3 weeks, renewable 2 times. The loan period can be extended according to your situation, by sending an e-mail to the library to which you are affiliated (contacts on your library's page). Documents already borrowed can be requested from the catalog or by contacting BU staff. Borrowed documents can be returned to any university library in the network.
