First step: search for a document in the catalog
To search for a document in the URCA collections, consult the library catalog.
If the document is in an URCA library, you can have it sent to you free of charge using the reservation service provided in the catalog. If the document you are looking for is not in an URCA library, you can have it sent to you using the Interlibrary Loan service. This service is available to all registered users of the URCA university library (see rates below).
The document is in an URCA library
- Search for the desired document(s) in the library catalog.
- Once on the document record, click on “Reserve This Copy” and select the library where you wish to pick up the document(s).
- You will receive an e-mail when the document(s) is (are) available for pick-up at the reception desk.
The document will be made available the next day at the latest if it is from the library where you wish to pick it up (working days), and within 15 days at the latest if it is from another URCA library. You can submit up to 10 requests.
The document is not in a URCA library
Interlibrary loan is a document supply service that enables you to call on other libraries to send you books, theses or periodical articles that are not available in URCA libraries. A fee may be charged for this service. For doctoral students, interns and research staff authorized by laboratory managers or department heads, costs may be covered by the researcher's laboratory.
