The European Centre for Biotechnology and the Bioeconomy (CEBB) is a multidisciplinary research centre dedicated to biotechnology, biomaterials and green chemistry.
It brings together the scientific and technical skills and expertise provided by four chairs from AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, NEOMA Business School and the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.
Supported by the Greater Reims Urban Community, the Department of the Marne and the Grand Est Region, the CEBB's mission is to develop applications for the conversion of biomass, and in particular the co-products of biorefineries and the agri-food industry.
The presence of the CEBB on the site of the Bazancourt-Pomacle biorefinery reflects the importance given to academic research and its contribution to the economic fabric of the region.
THE INSTITUT GEORGES CHAPPAZ DE LA VIGNE ET DU VIN EN CHAMPAGNE
In 2015, with the aim of increasing national and international visibility of its training and research activities related to the vine and wine in Champagne, URCA set up the Georges Chappaz Institute of Vine and Wine in Champagne (IGC).
Through close collaboration between higher education bodies in the Region, research organisations and networks, local and regional authorities, and socio-economic players working in the champagne sector in the Champagne wine region, this structure attached to URCA aims to boost interdisciplinarity at the service of scientific innovation, and enhance the common heritage of the Champagne region and champagne. It promotes all kinds of collaboration with other wine-producing regions both in France and around the world.
The CMQ Excellence Bioeco Academy aims to federate secondary and higher education institutions, industries and communities around a strategic sector of the Grand Est.
The CMQ Excellence Bioeco Academy encourages the raising of the level of qualification of the learners and participates in the improvement of their professional integration.
