Research activities
Main topic : climate change impact on flower development at physiological, molecular and agronomic levels. The activities are focused on abiotic stress (heat or cold temperature) on defense mechanism and carbohydrate metabolism.
Secondary topic : improvement of biological control strategies in the agriculture, including the development of new alternative protection strategies for biological control in plants. The studies are mainly focused on the impact of beneficial bacteria (Burkholderia phytofirmans, Bacillus subtilis), or secreted molecules from these bacteria (as lipopeptids), on defense/protection mechanisms in plants (barley, grape, wheat), in biotic or abiotic stress context.
Research keywords
Biological control, carbon metabolism, cereals, climate change, flower development, grapevine.
Technical skills
in vitro culture, cytology, measurement of various compounds (carbohydrates, enzymes), gene expression by PCR and quantitative real-time RT-PCR, microscopy (optical et electronic).
Teaching activities
