Research activities
My research goals are related to the biostimulation by bacterial elicitors of the growth stimulation and diseases resistance of plant. One objective is to elucidate the molecular, biochemical and cellular events involved in the cross talk between the elicitor and the host plant leading to the establishment of the induced resistance. This induced resistance is evaluated by measurement of the protection level of grapevine against Botrytis cinerea through defence’s induction after treatment with purified bacterial molecules. This study allowed the identification of protective markers by proteomic approaches and their validation is underway by genetic approaches in grapevine but also in Arabidopsis and tomato. This induced resistance is also studied at local and systemic level (organ dependent) after the perception of the bacterial elicitors.
