Second Circular : 13th ASA Conference (united with 14th HITRAN Conference)

University of Reims - Reims - FRANCE

Wednesday, 24 August – Friday, 26 August 2016

The thirteenth Atmospheric Spectroscopy Applications (ASA) workshop will take place 24-26 August 2016 (starting on the Wednesday of the week just before the Prague International Conference on Molecular Spectroscopy). The ASA workshop will be held at the conference center of the « Hôtel de la Paix », Best Western, 9 rue Buirette in Reims. This meeting will be coupled to the biennial HITRAN conference.

This meeting will be organized around the following topics:

- Current status of the molecular database

- Relevant new spectroscopic data

- Priorities for incorporation of new parameters

- Laboratory techniques

- User applications

- Characterization of spectroscopic parameters required by radiative-transfer modeling

- Database archiving, access and methodology

The meeting will also provide the opportunity to organize special sessions on satellite measurements, climatology, planetology (atmospheres of planets, exoplanets), and astrophysics (hot media such as the atmospheres of brown dwarfs, etc.).

Contributions to the meeting will be selected according to their relevance to the topics aforementioned and to the HITRAN database and the high-temperature compilation (HITEMP).

This meeting will include oral and poster presentations. We encourage posters that promote interaction among participants, and communications that present new research prior to peer-reviewed publication.

A registration form is accessible on the ASA web-site

http://www.univ-reims.fr/site/evenement/asa-hitran/home-accueil,18642,32042.html

for this purpose. The deadline for submission of abstracts is June 15th, 2016, but we suggest submitting as soon as possible by e-mail to mr.debacker@univ-reims.fr

The registration fee (250 € for permanent scientists and postdocs, 220 € for PhD students) will cover the cost of the sessions, proceedings, and refreshments. The registration also includes lunches and a banquet ticket for the participant. Accompanying persons should also register on the website if they want to attend the banquet (60 €).

All correspondence should be sent to the secretary of the local organizing committee:

Accomodations:

Participants must take care of their hotel reservations quite early since August is a highly touristic period.

Some cheaper rooms are available at the CIS of Reims. They can be reserved at the following URL:http://www.cis-reims.com/

Poster sessions:

The poster sessions will take place in front of the lecture hall of the « Hôtel de la Paix ». A vertical metallic grid (1 m wide and 1.8 m high) with two hooks will be available for each participant wishing to present his/her work. With this in mind, it will be preferable to have laminated posters with two holes at the top corners.

Abstracts :

The abstract format for both oral or poster presentation is given on the website. Send the abstract as soon as possible by e-mail to mr.debacker@univ-reims.fr

The deadline for submission of abstracts is June 15th 2016.

Abstract name :

Save your abstract in Word with the following format:
