The University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne encourages its students to attain the highest levels of education. The Doctorate (or PhD) is a programme of training in and through research, as well as in innovation. The course covers all disciplines and encourages the development of interdisciplinary projects.

The training plan offered to PhD students includes a wide range of modules enabling them to customise their profile and open up to the world of business and entrepreneurship.

With around 40% of its doctoral students coming from other countries, URCA is expanding its influence, in particular through the development of joint supervision PhDs.

The research areas interfacing with the bioeconomy at URCA's doctoral schools have been included within the AgroParisTech joint doctoral school, ‘Agriculture Alimentation BIologie Environnement Santé’ (ABIES) (Agriculture Food Biology Environment Healthcare). ED ABIES is co-accredited by the University of Paris-Saclay, AgroParisTech, the National Veterinary School of Alfort (ENVA), Paris-Est Sup, and the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.

This brings together renowned research teams around a training project. It provides its students with the training they need to carry out their research project and develop their professional project, as well as a European and international outlook, and support for their professional integration.

This strengthens the international reputation of the diploma and provides doctoral students with access to a wider range of skills.
