RESEARCH TOPICS

LRN is a strong unit with expertise in near-field instrumentation and nanotechnology, which spread out its know-how in various fields of application. The multidisciplinary nature of the team is emphasized with the presence of physicists, biochemists, biophysicists, electronics engineers and biologists. This opens up a wide range of applications, from optoelectronics to sensors and biomedical applications. Our lab’ nurtures a powerful synergy and multiplies collaborative projects with L2N at UTT.

  • Nanobiotechnologies and nanomedicine: international recognition
  • Instrumental developments in atomic force microscopy and electron microscopy, applied to biology/health, agro-sourced materials, advanced materials, sensors, or electronics
  • Elaboration of nanowires by ionic solvent electrodeposition, applications to energy storage and sensors in the health field
  • Modeling and advanced electrical characterization of semiconductor components, application to photovoltaics, agro-sourced materials, sensors, and healthcare

EXPERIMENTAL TOOLS AND STRUCTURES

  • 6 AFMs (high-speed, mechanical, electrical, biological, Raman...)
  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) JEOL7900F instrumented (X-ray analysis, crystallography, cathodoluminescence, traction...)
  • Clean room equipped with a range of equipment for electrical processing and characterisation
  • UV-visible and infrared spectrophotometers and spectrofluorometers
  • Cellular culture rooms with biochemistry and molecular biology equipment
