Graduated from Athens Law School in 1997. Postgraduate studies in International Law (Athens, 1998) and European Law (Aix-en-Provence, 1999). PhD in European and Comparative Law (Aix-en-Provence, 2003), (magna cum laude). Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (Aix-en-Provence, 2009).

Full-time Assoc. Professor (Maître de conférences) in Reims Law School since 2004, he mainly teaches Wine Law and Comparative Public Law. He also teaches as Permanent Visiting Professor Wine Law at the ESC Dijon, the MSc. in Wine Management of the OIV, at the University of Pau, at University of California - Davis…

Director of the Wine & Law Program (www.wine-law.org), he holds a Jean Monnet Course in EU Wine and Spirits Law and is responsible for several research programs in legal studies related to the wine industry.

Researcher at the “Centre de Recheche sur la Décentralisation territoriale” (Reims), he is responsible for Research on Wine Law at the University of Reims Law School. He supervises four PhDs, including three in Wine Law. He has also spent 7 months on a Fulbright Scholarship as a Visiting Academic Scholar in the NYU Jean Monnet Center (NY, USA, 2006) and at the Law School of the University of Tübingen (Germany, 2002).

Attorney-at-Law since 2001, he joined the Athens Bar Association, specializing in the field of European Law and Wine Law. Legal Counsel of national bodies and business in Greece & France. He has handled various cases before the European Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Commission.

General Director of the Greek Wine Federation.

Expert at the International Vine & and Wine Organization (Law and Economy Committee).

Writing activity

Author of four monographs and two textbooks in EU Law, some 50 articles as well as the editor of four books. His works focus on the enforcement of European and International Law in the national legal order and on European and Comparative Wine Law.

Member of the Directory Broad of the International Wine Law Association, of the Editor Board of the Journal of Administrative Law (Athens) and of the National University Council of France.
