Overview

Presentation

The URCA has made a particular effort to structure its research politics with 30 recognised research units, among which a few are linked to vast organisations.

Organisation of the Research Department

The Research department is in charge of project creation and financial management for those which benefit from grants. It is also responsible to the financial management of PhD students and post-doctorates’ thesis supports.

Research Poles

There are five research poles (agricultural resources, biomolecules and biomaterials, mechanics-automatic-material, maths and science of the material, heritage-cultures-institutions) that federate all University research activities. These are taken care of by a chargé de mission charged, by the President, to manage the links between the pole constitutive units and the executive team.

Technological platforms

With its two technology platforms, the URCA has managed to further develop its skills, hence offering added value to the available degrees.

Doctoral schools

They are two (Sciences and Technologies and Human and Social Sciences) and run by their respective director who is supported by a scientific and educational board. They have a crucial role when it comes to defining and leading the doctoral politics of the establishment, regarding the financial possibilities, the selection of applicants, the follow-up of students as well as their occupational integration. An administrative unit common to both schools guarantees that decisions and directions are implemented.
