How to apply

The Student Life and Studies Department (SEVE)

The SEVE is a representative of the Ministry of Education and is dedicated to welcoming students and to giving them some information about the curricula linked to courses.
It manages the courses offered by the University and students’ education in close connection with the registrar’s offices of departments during all the academic year and for the whole University.

The SEVE welcomes you from September 1st onwards at

For the students who do not live in France and who wish to follow a course on site or by correspondence (whatever the course level asked), an admission procedure has to be undertaken through the Centres for studies in France (CEF). It applies to the Nationals of the following countries :

Required procedures :
Your application file will be processed by the CEF of your country and you will have an aspirational interview to give details of your study programme. After your registration on www.campusfrance.org website, your application will be sent online between the CEF and the educational establishments you have asked for. You will be able to follow your file on the CEF website and if validated, your visa will shortly come afterwards.

« Guichet Unique » intended for foreign students

Once your registration is accepted by the URCA, you will need to go to the “Guichet Unique” located in students’ welfare office premises (CROUS), which is intended for foreign students coming for the first time to the University. All the necessary documents concerning the issue of your residence permit will be checked here and you will also be given appointments for your registration at the Sous-Préfecture and for your administrative enrolment in the department that has accepted your file for the start of the new academic year 2010. At this “Guichet Unique”, you will find all the details concerning your residence permit as well as accommodation, transport and Student Social Security. Student associations will also be here to give you some information about their activities and more precisely those set up for foreign students.
